I had the idea of creating The Good Shepherd Club as a place to write about God — theology, Scripture, and the things I'm working through in the faith — and to bring whatever I encounter along the way back to our Lord.

I named it The Good Shepherd Club because I believe God chooses His sheep — known since before the foundations of the earth. The 'club' already exists, and its members are already chosen. They just haven't all been found yet. I'm here to do my part and reach out to them.

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."

Reformed Baptist.

I stand in the Reformed Baptist tradition — the five solas, the doctrines of grace, and the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession. Expect scripture read carefully, a high view of God's sovereignty, and a plain love for the local church.

Still growing.

I'm still growing in the faith, and I will almost certainly make mistakes — in what I write and in how I live. Where I get something wrong, I want to be corrected. Whatever I put out here, I want to give my best for the Lord's sheep.
